Per type of processing, we inform you how you can manage the way we process your personal data with use of your so-called privacy rights. Below we explain in more detail what the different rights entail. If you would like to know more about the content, you can view the GDPR (AVG) here; your rights can be found in Articles 15 to 22.

Right to acess

The right of access means that you may ask us which of your personal data we process and to send you a copy of this data. In addition to providing the data, we will again inform you about the use, origin and destination and about your rights with regard to that data.

Right to rectification

The right to rectification means that you may ask us to correct your data if your data is incorrect, or to add an additional statement to your file.

Right to erasure

When we process your data based on your permission, such as with newsletters, or inadvertently continue to process it when no longer necessary for its original purpose, you may ask us to destroy your data. In that case we will destroy your data as soon as possible, unless it is necessary for another purpose, such as, for example, complying with a legal obligation to retain.

Right to restriction of processing

In some cases you may not want for your data to be used any longer, but you also do not want it to be destroyed. The right to restriction of processing is meant for that purpose. Instead of being destroyed, your data is ‘frozen’ and will no longer be used until further notice. You can invoke this right if you:

  • believe that the information we hold about you is incorrect;
  • believe that we are using your data unlawfully;
  • want to secure the data for, for example, a lawsuit.

Right to object

If you do not agree with us processing your data, you can object. In such a case, we will weigh your interest against the importance of processing your data. If we are unable to comply with your request, we will inform you of the reason(s). We will always grant an objection to the use of your data for (direct) marketing purposes.

Identification when invoking your rights

The rights set out above apply to you with regard to the processing of your data. Due diligence requires that we verify your identity before responding to a request. If we don’t do this, there is a chance that we provide your data to a complete stranger, which would be an invasion of your privacy.

Term of settlement

We will always process requests regarding your rights as quickly as possible. In any case, we will respond to your request within 30 days.
