This training is suitable for:
- Product owners who want to certify their processing;
- Internal or external project managers of implementation processes;
- Data protection officers (DPOs) or lawyers who want to gain solid knowledge about GDPR certification.
Take notice:
- If you are not (yet) familiar with the GDPR, it is wise to familiarize yourself with it first.
- We assume knowledge of and experience with project management, and organizational knowledge and insight to an equivalent level of applied sciences (HBO). If you do not have this experience, then this training in the ‘practical’ variant is probably a better choice. Would you like us to think along with you in the choice? Contact us.

What is not included in this training
There are more relevant disciplines that are important in the successful supervision of implementation and that are not or hardly discussed in this training. For example, this training does not deal with change management, project management and/or the legal elaboration of the GDPR.
Continuously up to date
After participating in the training you will be invited to expert sessions that are held once or twice a year. In this, the latest developments with regard to the BC 5701 are discussed and learning moments and insights are shared from implementation processes and certification audits. This way you stay up-to-date and your diploma retains its value.
Study load
The training has no homework between lessons, but we assume that you have studied the Certification BC 5701:2022 Certification Criteria prior to the first day of lessons. Take into account a study load of 6 to 10 hours.
Assessment
You complete the course with a written exam. The exam is a so-called ‘open book exam’. This means that you may consult the certification criteria during the exam. It therefore pays to thoroughly study the certification criteria prior to the training so that you know your way around during the exam. If you pass this exam, you will receive the diploma ‘BC 5701 Implementation Professional’ and, if you wish, you will be registered in the ‘BC 5701 Professionals register’ of Brand Compliance.
Included
- Course material;
- Exam and diploma costs;
- Arrangement costs (location, lunch, coffee/tea/water);
- The price of the training includes an electronic version of the BC 5701:2022 (via a download code);
- If you have already purchased the BC 5701:2022 via Brand Compliance, you will not receive a download code (after verification) and € 245 excl. VAT (€ 296.45 incl. VAT) will be deducted from the price of the training.
Not included: costs related to (overnight) stay.
Content guarantee
As long as the Dutch Data Protection Authority has not yet taken a final decision regarding the approval of the BC 5701, a ‘content guarantee’ applies to all courses. This means that if it appears that the approval of the AP leads to substantial changes in the certification criteria , we will provide additional training free of charge. This way you can be sure that you are now one of the first to gather the knowledge and you have the certainty that you will remain up-to-date free of charge up to and including the final decision of the AP.
