ISO 14001 certification and accreditation<\/h2>\n
Brand Compliance provides ISO 14001 certification outside the scope of its accreditation by the Dutch Accreditation Council (RvA), registration C 548. ISO 14001 certificates issued by Brand Compliance therefore do not carry the RvA accreditation mark. The precise application of the requirements depends on the context, activities, products, services and environmental aspects of the organization.<\/p>\n Important elements of an environmental management system include:<\/p>\n Top management must be actively involved in the environmental management system. The Plan, Do, Check, Act cycle provides the basis for managing and continually improving the system.<\/p>\n Before applying for certification, your organization must have established and implemented an environmental management system. A nonconformity means that a requirement has not been fulfilled.<\/p>\n The certificate forms part of a three-year certification cycle. Surveillance audits are conducted during this cycle to assess whether the environmental management system continues to meet the applicable requirements. A recertification audit is conducted before the end of the cycle.<\/p>\n The cost of implementing an environmental management system is separate from the cost of certification. The new edition retains the established framework for environmental management systems while improving clarity and alignment with current environmental priorities.<\/p>\n Organizations currently certified against ISO 14001:2015 must assess the changes and prepare their environmental management system for the transition to ISO 14001:2026.
