We are pleased to announce that the Dutch Data Protection Authority (AP)<\/a> has approved the GDPR Certification Standard and Criteria BC 5701:2023 that we developed.<\/p>\n

After accreditation by the Accreditation Council, we are the first certification body in the Netherlands that can offer official GDPR certification.<\/p>\n

\"GDPRThe GDPR standard<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The GDPR standard BC 5701 is designed to meet the strict requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)<\/a>. After years of development, the European Data Protection Board (EDPB)<\/a> has issued an opinion to the AP.<\/p>\n

The AP has carefully assessed the application and decided to grant approval with regard to the certification criteria proposed by Brand Compliance (Article 42, paragraph 5, GDPR).<\/p>\n

Accreditation<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The final stage has started: the accreditation application to the Dutch Accreditation Council (RvA).<\/a> This step confirms the credibility of the certification and ensures that it meets the international accreditation standard. After completing this final phase, we can speak of an official GDPR certification.<\/p>\n

Personal data<\/strong><\/h2>\n

BC 5701 applies to organizations that use personal information, regardless of the size of the organization or what products or services they offer. Organizations that process personal data must demonstrably meet the requirements of the GDPR, which is mandatory under the GDPR. The introduction of the GDPR certification provides an opportunity for organizations to demonstrate that they work in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR.<\/p>\n
