\"CyFunOn September 4, 2025, Brand Compliance Belgi\u00eb became the first certification body to receive CyberFundamentals accreditation from BELAC to conduct CyFun verification.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

With this accreditation, Brand Compliance Belgium can support organizations in presumably complying with the NIS2 legislation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to its role as an audit agency for the SME portfolio, Brand Compliance Belgi\u00eb is now expanding its services to include CyberFundamentals.<\/span><\/span> The CyberFundamentals Framework is a collection of measures to protect data, reduce the risk of cyberattacks, and increase the cyber resilience of organizations.<\/span><\/span> It is an independent assessment framework developed by the Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium (CCB)<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

An important step towards NIS2 compliance <\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

This accreditation enables Brand Compliance Belgi\u00eb to conduct conformity assessments that meet accreditation requirements.<\/span><\/span> This is important for organizations that fall under the NIS2 directive.<\/span><\/span> Obtaining a CyFun verification statement can lead to obtaining a CyFun\u00ae label, which demonstrably certifies compliance with the NIS2 directive in Belgium.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Accreditation for CyberFundamentals <\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

ISO 27001 certification and CyFun <\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

In addition to CyberFundamentals, it is sometimes also possible to obtain a CyFun\u00ae label with ISO 27001 certification<\/a>.<\/span><\/span> The ISO 27001 certification must meet several requirements.<\/span><\/span> For example, the ISO 27001 certificate must cover the organization’s full scope, and the desired level of assurance for controls must be included in the Statement of Applicability.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The CCB has authorized Brand Compliance B.V. (Netherlands and Belgium) to have essential and important entities obtain ISO 27001 certification under NIS2.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
