Transfer of certification
You have already obtained a certificate, the cycle is still ongoing, but you are considering transferring to another certification body?
Under certain conditions, it is possible to switch to Brand Compliance during the certification cycle. In this blog you can read how such a transfer can be arranged and what conditions are attached to it.
Application #
A few conditions are attached to the transfer of certification to Brand Compliance. The most important are the following:
- There is a valid certificate under accreditation.
- Previously identified nonconformities have been adequately followed up.
When the conditions above are met, Brand Compliance will carry out a so-called “pre-transfer review” to assess whether the remaining cycle of the certification can be transferred.
Pre-transfer review #
An agreement will be made for the pre-transfer review. When scheduling the appointment, a number of documents are requested. An auditor is scheduled for half a day to review the documentation. A consultation between you and the auditor is also facilitated.
During the review of the documentation and the interview, the auditor will consider several points to assess whether the certification cycle can be adopted.
Acceptance #
If the pre-transfer review shows that Brand Compliance can take over the certification during the cycle, the auditor nominates the organization for certification. This nomination goes to a so-called certification committee, which will independently assess the file. If the certification committee comes to the same conclusion as the auditor, the file is transferred to the certification decision maker for a final decision.
