Applying for a certification process

1 min read

If an organization applies for a certification process at Brand Compliance, several topics must be discussed in order to assess whether we can make an offer for certification.

Preparation

Our account manager will prepare the meeting with the applicant as well as possible. When a certification process is new, it is nice for the applicant to know what to expect. The applicant must collect a number of necessary data so that the application procedure can be completed smoothly.

Necessary data

To lend a hand, we have compiled a list of the minimum data we need to process the certification application:

  • The basic data of your company;
  • The legal structure of your company;
  • A recent extract from the Chamber of Commerce;
  • The scope that you want to have certified;
  • An overview of any outsourced processes under the scope;
  • The number of FTEs working under the scope (this includes permanent, temporary, part-time, full-time, hired staff and volunteers);
  • Different business and IT factors to estimate the complexity of the audit on which the time calculation is based;
  • If applicable, the name of the consultancy organization regarding the implementation;
  • The period within which you would like to be certified;
  • Details regarding safety for personnel or availability of information.

If there are any questions about the contents of the list above, the account manager can be contacted prior to the meeting. It is also possible to ask these (or other) questions during the consultation.

Assessment

When all the necessary data is complete and the application has been completed by the account manager, the application is submitted to an employee within Brand Compliance who fulfills the role of ‘application reviewer’. This is an important step in the application process because it guarantees our independence and quality towards our (potential) customers.

Proposal

certification processUpon approval of the application, our account manager will prepare a proposal and send it to the applicant, accompanied by the certification regulations and the general terms and conditions. It is important to read these documents carefully. After approval, the proposal is signed and returned, thus establishing the agreement.

Certification process

After the agreement has been concluded, a task is transferred to one of our customer and project coordinators. The proposal is processed into a certification process. Contact will be made to schedule the first audit dates based on the time calculation in the proposal.

We hope this article has provided more insight into the process surrounding an application for certification by Brand Compliance. We are happy to be of service to start a certification process.

You can apply for certification here: apply for a certification process. Our account manager will then contact you as described above for an initial meeting.
